I’m really struggling with acne and I don’t have money to buy proactiv right now since I spent my money on homecoming (oops! haha). I need to get an acne cream, toner, and moisturizer for my super duper oily skin that has really bad acne. Which do you recommend?

Walmart – Noxzema skin creme and a bottle of Dickinson Witch Hazel.

Simple stuff works great! No itchy skin, no expensive stuff. The Nox will fade the zits and stop you from getting new ones. The witch hazel is an herb that dries your skin smooth and creamy feeling. No itchy, no stinging. It’s great.

Drink lots of water with lemon slices in it. In about 2 days you will notice a difference! Don’t drink soda anymore — it’s killing your skin. Eat lots of fruits, veggies, salads,– cut back on sugars, processed foods, salami once in a while, white bread, stuff like that. Eat nuts, apples, eat them raw if you can. Drink one glass of water with lemon slices before you go to bed about 1 hour before so you can pee it out.

The Oil Cleansing Method
What you will need:
Warm Water
Cold Water
Clean Towels
Castor Oil
Olive Oil
The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.
You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.

Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.
Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

Hello! I need help!!! I have both rosacea AND acne. I have been told my whole life NOT to use any products with salicylic acid becuz it makes the rosacea even worse. Which does seem to be true. But, i think that the salicylic acid is the best thing to treat zits. So i need an alternative. my whole face is covered in little tiny bumps and then a few actual zits.
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE BEST WAY TO TREAT ACNE/ZITS IF YOU HAVE ROSACEA????
this is super depressing for me. i also don’t have insurance so i can’t go to a doctor. and don’t suggest proactive–becuz that burns my face off!!!!
i have used metrol gel also. it seems to have the opposite effect on skin…and burns and gets red.

maybe i am just looking for a really good acne medication that does NOT have salicylic acid in it!! anyone know one of those??

The thing to do is get on antibiotic therapy as this will control the acne and the Rosacea. Do not use ANY over the counter acne products as they will make the Rosacea worse. You need antibiotic therapy so see a doc and get a script for this. You mentioned no insurance but if you put all the money that you have already spent on acne products that you should not be using I’ll bet that would cover one visit to your regular docs office to get a script. Also depending on how well your doc knows you he may order the antibiotics for you if you just call him and tell him your Rosacea is really acting up and you would like to try antibitotic therapy for it.

i use Oil-free acne cream, too =D

I just wash my face, then put clean and clears dual action moisturizer all over, usally two to three times, (I wash in the morning and at night)

To clear your ugly pimple face I insist washing it with acid , then let it settle so you feel the burn and then no one has to see your face again because it’s a turn off to all of society.
