recently i started using st ives apricot face scurb once a day b/c i have similar problems and have found it works wonder on my acne, its like gone in 3-5 days. i would then apply a moisturizer to your skin after especially in the winter when its cold, windy, etc

Just about all of those face washes have large amounts of alcohol in them. Even the face wipes. They get rid of your acne by drying them out and then you have another problem. Try using a cleansing system. The Acne Free System works very well and has 3-4 steps. Try maybe after face is dry maybe using a lite moisturizer.

I was in the same boat as you awhile ago. What works the best? Finding a good face wash for your skin. Using a toner to help take off the extras in your acne. And moisturizing.. that is the most important! What I use: 1. Murad Acne face cleansing gel (in the shower I use: Eucerin Gentle Hydrating cleanser) 2. Toner: Clean and Clear Deep Cleansing for Sensitive Skin (it will sting a little but that is a GOOD sign) 3. Moisturizer: Clean and Clear and Garnier Skin Renew (I still have not found the perfect moisturizer, but I’m still searching.. more for one that is a little inexpensive!) Everyone’s skin is different. You will have to go through quite a few to find a good one made for you. I really recommend you to check out a sight made specifically for people who have hard time searching for the right kinds of products. It is skinid.com by neutrogena. They will ask you all kinds of questions to find the right solutions made specifically for you. And it’s not that expensive, especially if you no longer want to be embarassed from acne and scars! Last but not least.. a nice foundation I prefer is Lorac’s line which is oil-free and will not clog pores. I also love love love mineral makeup! Hope this will help you okay!

When I still lived with my parents my mom used to get me the zap-it system from Melaleuca. My brother had terrible acne when he was in high school, way worse than mine, and it cleared both of our faces up. I don’t necessarily recommend joining Melaleuca, but I’m pretty sure you can still buy the products even if your not a member and it will just cost you a little more. I don’t use the system anymore since I don’t live at home and can’t really afford it as a struggling college student but I do still use the quick stick because my mom still buys the stuff sometimes (i think she is required to order things from them every month, which is why i don’t recommend joining). even if you just buy the quick stick i think that would help a lot. usually the quick stick will clear up a zit overnight. also, I agree with pinkchk about the st. ives apricot scrub. I use the apricot scrub every day and then moisturize immediately after (if you don’t moisturize right after your skin might get too dry). It makes my skin look really good and makes my makeup go on a lot smoother. Also, i suggest switching to mineral makeup. I just recently switched to mineral make-up and i already see an improvement in my skin. right now i use everyday minerals. its a lot cheaper than some of the other stuff. you can get free samples from the website and they are pretty decent sized samples and they last a pretty long time. hope this helps.

the most important tip is to remember to moisturize your face after you cleanse it. No matter which cleanser you purchase, it’s always important it moisturize your face. I never did moisturize my face after I washed it, and I always broke out like crazy. so, now that I do, it reduced so much and I’m very happy. Many people believe that moiturizing face with loton can clog pores, but it doesn’t if you use light moirturizers. I am currently using Aveeno’s brighting cleanser.

Just make sure you wash your face 3-4 times a day and about 1 minute each session.

ps. dON’T USE THE apricot scrub from ST. Ives. they are made from grind nuts that could microscopically tear your skin without you knowing. Use the microscopic beads.
